What "shake" actually is

Shake is the loose material that falls off buds during trimming, handling, and packaging. It is real cannabis, but it is made up of smaller broken pieces, sometimes mixed with trim leaf, rather than intact bud. Because it is essentially a byproduct, it costs less to source, which is why a lot of budget pre-rolls are built on it.

What "full flower" means

Full flower means the actual bud gets ground and rolled, not the leftover material around it. It holds more of the resin-rich surface of the plant, which is where most of the flavor and terpene content lives. It costs more to use because you are working with the primary product instead of a byproduct.

Why it matters when you smoke it

Flavor: full flower carries the actual terpene profile of the strain, shake often tastes flatter and less distinct
